Sarah Sinacore - Artistic Director
Sarah Sinacore is a professional vocalist and music educator. Sarah is a recent graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University, who graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Music degree. She has been studying music since 2001, and has also completed a performance degree at Vanier College in Montreal. She has extensive knowledge in jazz, opera, classical song, musical theatre, and pop. In her musical career, she has had the opportunity to perform across North America and abroad in the musical theatre productions of Fiddler on the Roof and No More Raisins No More Almonds as a leading role. She has also performed in many big band concerts, choir concerts, musical theatre productions, operas, and recitals as a lead vocalist and soloist. She is extremely passionate about the music and styles from the Big Band Era and is devoted to keeping them alive.
Sam Baker - Band Leader
Sam Baker is a multi-talented musician with his sights set
high! Performing as much as he can within the Montreal and Toronto jazz music
scenes, Sam is geared toward progressing as a musician. He continually seeks
out new musical ventures within and outside the jazz genre on his primary
instrument, the trumpet. In addition to performing as much as possible, Sam has
spent a lot of time teaching privately and in small groups. With intent to
pursue his studies, to compliment his DEC in Music from Vanier College and his
Honours Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Music from York University, Sam is always
striving to take part in all aspects of music. Most recently, Sam has turned
his focus to the Big Band era of jazz. For most of his post-secondary
education, Sam has been a part of many prominent big bands in and out of
school. Swing on!
